MMC50 25072025// The Flaherty Seminar - Program 4
Co-presented by: The College for Fine, Performing, and Communication Arts, Wayne State University

WHERE: Schaver Music Recital Hall,
WHEN: Friday, July 25, 7pm

The Flaherty Seminar, now in its 70th year running, is an internationally recognized forum whose mission is to create and nurture spaces around the globe for field-building collective inquiry into the form and function of independent non-fiction cinema. With a focus on curation as a means of gathering, and cinema as an invitation to step outside oneself, The Flaherty brings together an international and intergenerational community dedicated to exploring the transformative, world-building power of non-fiction cinema, the exchange of cinematic ideas across cultures, and the expansion of the limits of cinema itself.

As an official "gathering" Mothlight will be screening one program from the seminar in person on July 25th on WSU campus and facilitating a post-screening discussion with the audience.

We encourage you to register for the full online Flaherty experience. If you RSVP for our gathering, you will receive a 50% off discount code to register for the full online seminar. The in-person gathering in NYC is over but the full program can be accessed online through July 31st.

Once you RSVP you will receive more details about our gathering. More about The Flaherty here.
